Dahn

Dahn, Ter’Ciel

Country Capital

Population: 78,467 (Est. 2955 YA)

One half of the twin-city Kestra-Dahn, the site of most of the mining refineries and wealth of Ter’Ciel. Founded in 932 YA, it was also the site of the signing of the Ter’Ciel Alliance by the Lords of the other 11 cities in the mountain region. The city of Kestra was founded soon after in 1034 YA to handle administrative and government purposes, and the two grew until 1746 YA when they merged into one twin-city. Sited beneath the summit of the titular Mt. Ter’Ciel, it enjoys being placed upon Magnetic North, with continuous periods of night and day during the winter and summer.

Dalyn

A young Atlantean student on Warrior Studies at Atlantis university, with obvious Ter’Ciel heritage such as his red hair and rough Kanchen accent.

Dhinos

Dhinos, Stoci

Population: 56,608 (Est. 2955 YA)

A city built between an oxbow lake of River Thes and the river itself, and sited on a large hill, Dhinos has long been a major military player during border raids between Stoci and Theon. It is also the main center of commerce for the farms that border Theon, allowing any goods raided by Theon to be replaced.

Dragons

A sentient species of lizard which is thought to have mostly died out in Ter’Ciel, the Dragons are known for their rock hard scales which fetch high prices as armour, and also for their legendary hordes of wealth upon which they sleep. Apart from this, it is also known that they are very long living - at least as long as the Faeries - and develop spiritual awareness (magic) on maturity, losing the wings they were born with and instead using their magic to fly instead. It used to be enough for these wings to be turned into armour, but greedy hunters are thought to have driven the species into extinction, although the legend still appeals to gullible youngsters trying to prove themselves.

Durian

Durian, Tanor

County

Population: 756,588 (Est. 2981 YA)

The largest region in Tanor, covering most of the western lands, was founded in 1282 YA, by the second group to leave Nori. The first, founding Rossek to the south, went unnoticed in such a large land, yet the arrival of the Teshire group in 1306 YA after crossing Ter’Ciel began the Consolidation, which would forge the county as it is today. The county is governed from the county capital Durton, which reports to the country capital Tanor City. From north to south, the main cities are Ortop, from which the river Or flows into the town of Orbour, which trades south to Argenbour, then Bathos and Slobar, with Tewsbury on the border of Rossek. After the Civil War of 1982 YA, Durian also held Sheldon on the border with the Fren Fens, but this was re-taken by Rossek after the Second Apollyon War in 2988 YA.

Durton

Durton, Durian, Tanor

County Capital

Population: 105,480 (Est. 2981 YA)

Located in the west of Durian, near the country capital of Tanor City. The city is mainly a simple crossing ground for all commerce out of Durian and into the rest of Tanor, as well as being the administrative and government center for the region. During the Second Apollyon War, it was hit hardest by the chaos ravaging the region, losing seventeen major Lords as well several major buildings, which have only just started to be rebuilt.
