Barbaria,

The catch-all name for the area east of Atlantis, where most of humanity fled after the War of Mages. The name comes from the sounds of the High Tongue to outsiders like Tanor and Atlantis, which is spoken by most of the leaders of the Barbarian nations. Since Nori and Gorin fell after the Second Apollyon War, the nations include Tekas in the North-East, bordering the nomadic route beyond Barbaria to the North, and Mazda to the West, as well as Palmeria to the South. Palmeria also borders Mazda, as well as Stoci to the west and Theon the south. Stoci is also bordered by Mazda and Theon to the North and South. Finally, Escher is surrounded by Mazda to the south and east, and Ter’Ciel to the North.

Baruch,

Baruch, Theon

Population: 46,168 (Est. 2955 YA)

A small city in the west of Theon, it suffers from its backwater position, far from Alethion, Atlantis and Stoci. It is famous for being the birthplace of the second Grand Prophet, who delivered Theon from a dark slump as it endeavored to conquer Nori.

Basinia,

Basinia, Theon

Population: 90,629 (Est: 2955 YA)

A large city on the trade route between Thessa and Alethion, it is home to several merchant families who heavily influence the Basinia House Lords, leading to the city being something of a tax haven, famous for its liberal outlook compared to the rest of Theon.

Bast Forest,

A large expanse of forest in the North-East of Teshire, containing the ruins of several Bast settlements. After the Bast Exodus in 1685 YA, the area was left alone as Teshire expanded its borders into the people of Bastet’s former home. Several attempts have been made to set up a forestry industry, but it has struggled to compete with the thriving industry in Tanor’s capital.

Bastet,

Country

Est. Population: 2 million, including Southern Bastet Settlements.

History

The history of the Bast people date back beyond the country’s founding in 1700, after the settlement of Hope. Whilst most of humanity fled from what is now Tanor to the lands of Barbaria during the War of Mages, the people of Bast could only reach the forests of Northern Tanor. Fleeing from the Southern Bast Desert, it had taken them too long to flee, and so after Anahita defeated the Nephalim at Fren, they settled in the Forests.

Bathos,

Bathos, Durian, Tanor

Population: 35,949 (Est. 2981 YA)

A large town that encourages the flow of iron and stone from the Northern Ranges to Tanor City. It has prospered from this, as the Iron Road arrowed straight through it. However, it has since suffered after Tanor became insular in it’s fight to destroy Apollyon for good, as trade has moved east to Durton.

Belle Sybilla,

See Cast Entry.

Beond,

The name given to the Creator God within the Anahitan religion. Seen as the creator of the physical universe, he is as revered as Apollyon the destroyer is feared. The balance between them is seen as the universe, yet Beond himself is believed to take very little interest in the affairs of humanity. Instead, the Angels, beings from the Spiritual realm who crave the balance of the physical realm, are often those responsible for the unexplained.

Blade Al'van,

Boreal,

Boreal, Palmeria

Population: 34,508 (Est: 2955 YA)

A small town on the edges of Palmeria, it prospers from the hardwood forests nearby. In recent years, both Mazda and Stoci have tried to take these rich forests, yet so far Palmeria has forced the two back beyond the valuable forests.

Bravd,

A warrior trainer at Atlantis University, originally hailing from the city of Sagitar in east Bastet. He rose to become a famous general in the Second Apollyon War, and retired to train young warriors under Melchior’s new scheme to refine the unruly so-called warriors that roamed Neon. He puts great stress upon punctuality and stamina.
