Magic,

Magic is the colloquial term for the control of the physical world using its imprint upon the spiritual world. A person or object (a magic-user from here onwards) would be aware of the spiritual realm in various ways (detailed below) because of the way sentience in particular affects a physical imprint. The scope of awareness can vary between users, and it can be enhanced by Links and Relics. (More...)

Manberg,

Manberg, Escher

Population: 54,349 (Est. 2951 YA)

Located on the slopes that lead into Ter’Ciel and the mountain home, Manberg enjoys a good trade with Pador to the North, and suffers little from the depression that racks Escher. In fact Escher pays more attention to Mazda than it does Manberg, leading to most of the surrounding settlements not seeing a tax-collector for years.

Masala,

Masala, Ter’Ciel

Population: 92,970 (Est. 2955 YA)

Built within the caverns of the Cielian plains, the land above it is some of the more fertile in Ter’Ciel, and places the city at the heart of a thriving agricultural community. Most famous are the various types of cloves that act as spices in most foods in Ter’Ciel and Tanor.

Matlock Woods,

A large forest lying on the Rossek-Teshire border, that was re-taken after the Second Apollyon War by Rossek. Most of the hardwood used n Atlantean manufactories was from Matlock, until trade with Tanor was soured.

Mazda,

Country

Population: 649,184 (Est. 2955 YA)

Lying on the plains of Barbaria between Palmeria, Tekas, Stoci and Escher, Mazda represents a large portion of Barbaria. Since expanding into the lands unclaimed by Escher it has doubled in size since being founded in 521 YA, and is famous for the fertile farmlands that cover much of the North. This is only due to the great fogs that rise from Mt Anua, a product of the cool river Fan meeting the mighty lava flow that stretches for miles. It is thought that the mountain has slowly traveled south-west since the country’s founding, leaving fertile land behind it as it follows the flow of the river. (More...)

Kahuna Melchior Ximal, (2955 - Present)

(2955 - Present)

Born within the Tower of Mummer’s Street, Melchior was a well-known face within the tower and on the theatre stage, and was a favourite with the children of the Tower for his marionettes that would act out the plays of the stage. Rising to the town council during Land-Lord Norman Sybilla’s reign, he was heavily involved in the protection and control of the tower. After the death of Land-Lord Norman Sybilla during the Riots of 2988, Melchior was the first to suggest that the people protect themselves, getting them to build the blockade that would grow to cover most of the city. After being propelled to Kahuna, Melchior has extended his talents and helped the city recover from such a dark period. After negotiating the return of the Kahunas to sitting in Atlantis (see Myrian Federation), he married Kahuna Shanona from the ring of islands to the North, and they currently have one son, Yuri Ximal.

Meshball,

One of the more popular sports in Atlantis, with most towers having a team in the Tower League. The sport has existed for around a thousand years in the city, and is derived from a simpler form played in Barbaria. There are seven people on each team, with the intent being to score as many goals as possible. (More...)

Mespos,

Mespos, Stoci

Population: 49,249 (Est. 2955 YA)

Moletta,

Moletta, Theon

Population: 68,230 (Est. 2955 YA)

A large city in the west of Theon, near to the various fishing communities of Moiran. It is has several large cathedrals and is home to several more borderline sections of Anahitan belief, although rumors of an Apollyon-like cult are completely baseless. The main Theoni Army barracks are located outside the town, and the city’s university has a Warrior Studies course for students unable to get into the army.

Myria Federation,

Population: 1,000,000 on around a thousand islands including Atlantis (Est. 2981 YA).

During the mage wars, humanity fled in various directions. To Barbaria from Tanor, from Bastet to Northern Tanor and the southern lands beyond Bastet, and from everywhere to the islands of the aptly named Myrian Ocean. There are over two thousand islands known and mapped in this ocean, with around a thousand inhabited by small communities dating back to those years. (More...)

Myrian Ocean,

A vast ocean that borders the west coasts of Escher, Mazda, Stoci and Theon, the east coasts of Tanor and Bastet, and the southern coast of Ter’Ciel. The thousand or so islands of the titular Myrian Federation lie within the northern reaches, near Tanor and Ter’Ciel, with even more spread out sparsely to the west of Theon.
